"I was overwhelmed by a sense of déjà vu. Haven't I been here before?
"Of course not. You died," I mumbled to myself. "How could I recognize a place I've never been to?" A heavy footstep echoed behind me. "You're not dead," a deep voice spoke. "Parks..." Read more of this chapter » |

"Jeez, Aaron. Okay, okay. Can't you just draw some―" "No. I can't. Magic has its limits. You know that. I can't just make things from out of thin air." "What are the limits, anyway? What can you do?" "Well, it'..." Read more of this chapter » |

“Who's got a mirror?” I ask.
Spider shrugs at me. “We're all fellas. Why would any of us have mirrors?”
“I've got a mirror!” Brandon declares happily, digging a compact out of his pocket.
No-one is surprised.”

“That's part of being gay, you know. It's not just who you want in bed. It's who your emotional relationships are with the other twenty-three hours of the day, whose arms you want around you when life hands you shit.”

Novel in progress - PREVIEW ONLY
Arracan 'Aaron' Duhali was no ordinary man. He was the one and only "Magical Lord" of the earth realm, the only artist to hold magical powers in human history. He was also Drake Fallow's brother-in-law, and they had been friends and brothers, even without blood relations, since Drake was born.
Harboring forbidden feelings for another man who was in love with someone else was no easy task, especially since Aaron was definitely not human. He wasn't just the only person to have powers, but he had also lived for more than 300 years. Drake was well aware of that, and Aaron always secretly wondered if he thought him a freak like others who knew.
Aaron had been unhappy all his life. It wasn't fair to grant him supposedly gifted powers, and then give him a fruitless love―not to mention, one that Drake finds out about somehow. After Aaron finally decided suicide might be his only option left, he also came to realize happiness, a desire that had eluded him for 300 years, may be in reach after all.

[resetting story]
It's too good to be true.
There are two kinds of fears Nicholas Reed, a 27-year-old bookstore owner, becomes aware of. The kind that fears love, and the kind that fears loss. He never realized either would occur to him, but he finds himself fearing both love and loss.
After Kianna Gallantry, the other owner of the store, confessed to having liked Nick, his high school crush on his childhood friend returns to overwhelm him―and with it, the realization that he had always loved her.
Now he just wanted to be understood, even if his neglectful past still haunted him. How should he reveal his history of resentful relatives and express his love for her at the same time? Life took it off his hands, fortunately, and gave them both a chance at overcoming their fears of rejection.
