OK, I saw the movie preview and thought it looked interesting. I have several guy-friends who are pretty much graphic novel "fan boys," and they were horrified to learn I had never read this. I was lent a copy immediately.

The story is pretty interesting, with a lot of interesting moral and ethical delimmas to examine. However, I don't think I could ever get used to the "graphic novel" format (don't call it a comic book!). It kind of gives me a headache, it's not my natural eye movement for reading. Plus, "Watchmen" is fairly dedicated to showing naked female breasts. No wonder teenage boys like these things so much.

VERY detailed, academic treatment of MLK. Most interesting parts are about the social structure of the black church, particularly how MLK made radical changes to his church in Atlanta, which actually laid the foundations for his organizational work in the civil rights movement.
