3. Hunting and Gathering-Anna Gavalda
4. The Road-Cormac McCarthy
5. Elegance of the Hedgehog-Muriel Barbery
6. Nine Stories-J.D. Salinger

RUNNERS UP
1. That Old Cape Magic-Richard Russo (Despite the reviews, I adored this book)
2. The Nine: Inside the Supreme Court-Jeffrey Toobin (What?!?! I actually have a book of NON-FICTION on my top list!)
3. Street of a Thousand Blossoms-Gail Tsukiyami (Read this in February, is still with me)

DISAPPOINTMENTS
1. An American Tragedy-Theodore Dreiser-(The tragedy was that I spent a month reading this tome. Very little dialogue. Love the movie, "A Place in the Sun," which this is based on. Movie, in this case, was better.)
2. Someone I Loved-Anna Gavalda (After loving "Hunting and Gathering," this was a dud.)
3. The Time Traveler's Wife-Audrey Niffenegger (Eh, didn't think it was as great as everyone raved about)

WORST
1. Modoc-Ralph Helfer (In case you didn't read my review, I tend not to finish books I can't stand, but I read it for book group [there are four of us:], so felt obligated. Ugh. Worst. Writer. Ever. Ironically enough, listening to a year-end radio show of best books, a caller raved about this! So go figure!)
