I didn't know this book was about vampires until I actually started reading it. All the things I'd heard about the movie, I was surprised I didn't know. Of course, in the movie they are toooootally not vampires. :)

Neil Patrick Harris + Beverly Cleary = There is no bad here.

For NPH to sound as happy about narrating this as he was doing The Bro Code tells me he truly enjoys what he does. It made the listening experience all the more pleasant.

And the book itself was as adorable as I would expect of a Cleary book. Five stars for the story alone. Too. much. annotation.

I was REALLY looking forward to reading this. And I enjoyed the additional information that was actually useful. But DEAR GOD, the annotation was so effing rambly that I would glance over, see how long it was, and go back to reading the story itself.
