I've read other Dekker novels. They all tend to explore the age old dilemma of good versus evil. He veils the gospel of Christ within his stories that may not be apparent to the unchurched, but is kind of predicatable for the rest of us. Having said that, this was a good read. i LOVED Sears and his writings when when my kids were little. Their big Baby Book was a great resource for me as well as their classic, Nighttime Parenting. The insights and wisdom of the Sears helped validate many of my natural inclinations as a mom. They also shaped me as the parent I became to my little ones who are now Big Ones.
