Not impressed by the story line whatsoever. What is all the hype about? This is not a love story as I expected. Instead it is a story of hate, bitterness, and revenge and their very real destructive effects. The writing style was good, but I never felt sympathy for the characters. Depressing and generally dark.

Princess Academy is another fun story by Shannon Hale. For me, however, it was too much like her Goose Girl series.

I enjoyed this biik. a great story about compassion and love prevailing in a time and stiuation of racial strife and family discord. Some course language.

I reread this book a couple years after the first time. I enjoyed it more because I knew not to expect much plot or charcter wise and was simply able to enjoy the comical ride.

A 4--. Very fun humor. I'd never heard of this book so it is funny to find that there is such a cult following. I may have been caught off guard by the style, but I was appropriately warned that it is comparable to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Though I did not love Hitchhiker's story line, Good Omens was a riot.

I honestly did not enjoy this story much. It was a chore to get through. I didn't find the characters full enough to care much about their future. However, I knew this would be an excellent book club discussion platform - which it was.
