I finally finished this book a few weeks ago. It took me longer than expected only because there were times that I could actually put the book down. Do not get me wrong, this novel did present an interesting plot and wonderful characters but it did not do that extra spark that would have not allowed me to close the book until I finished. I will not give you a plot synopsis only because I am sure you can find other readers giving you that much, but I will say that if there is one thing I like it was its message - love can conquer all... ]]>

I am still reading this book. I will not post what happened because I am sure you can go to the dozens of other responses and find out what happened through them. The synopsis seemed interesting so I decided to start reading it. The storyline was interesting but not as interesting to keep me going.
This is one of those that I can see becoming a movie with some A-star actors and actresses. I feel that the character development was nice but I am kind of biased for books that have a touch of actual history. Granted that history is accepting what we are told history is.
Nonetheless, I do recomend that you read this book only if this is the kind of book you like to read or like to try a different book. ]]>

If you like the catcher in the rye, try getting Old Glory and the Real time Freaks... almost identical events but somewhat humorous yet just as powerful. Sorry I cannot tell you why it was banned, haven't read it, yet. ]]>
