A book that tells of every parent's worse nightmare...loss of a child by abduction. It is also about healing. Was very well done, kept me reading forever, even though it brings a knot into my stomach. Really hit me with this book as it is about a family with two daughters and they are three years apart. Times I thought I had it figured out and wasn't anywhere near to solving it. ]]>
A cute story about John Steinbeck traveling around America with his large poodle named Charley. This takes place in the early 1960's. He went out to rediscover the things in America that he had forgotten and he ends up so anxious to be home in the end. Funny stories of the dog. ]]>
Wow! I have always wanted to make a difference in the world, but this guy really goes through with it! True story of man while doing mountain climbing, comes upon a village and after talking with the chief of the village, says he will come back and build a school there for their girls. He does this and has built many schools over in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. since.

Was very interesting to read this book about Mormons. To study Brigham Young and his wives and the things he accomplished during those times. I was like the author in that it made me go to the computer to look up facts about this man. There is also another story woven into this novel, more current to these times. ]]>
This was a great book, although the story matter scares me. I'm like the person in the book, I would rather have cancer than Alzheimers. What I found interesting was that this person was shown as having a great mind...so intelligent, exercised...seemed to do all you could to deter it but had that genetic gene. I can still see grandma and how she advanced so rapidly. You are right Lora, I wonder if these things were going through her head before she got so bad. Just another reminder to cherish our days and the people in our lives. ]]>
Well, finally done with the vampire series. Last book still written well and many things happen in this book, but was not my favorite of the four. Ends with a fairy tale ending though...will make a great movie. On to more serious writings... ]]>

Another fast read! Don't know why you get so hooked...guess it's cause you don't have to think too much! Now I'll start the other one to get them out of my system. The character Bella still bugs me though! Yuck! Grow up...although I guess she is only 18. Can't stand girls like her!:) ]]>
