I'm only on page 100, so this review may be a bit premature. That being said, while "The Gates" is funny and well written, it's basically just a rehash of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchetts novel "Good Omens". Some pages are almost verbatim. I'm hoping that changes as the story develops. John Connolly is one of my favorite authors, and I don't want to lose respect for him for plagiarizing (badly) one of the funniest books ever written. ]]>
