I've been eagerly awaiting the sequel to the Hunger Games and Catching Fire did not disappoint! Catching Fire picks up where The Hunger Games left off. Katniss and Peeta have returned to District 12 after surviving the 74th Hunger Games but the eye of the Capitol is upon them. As they embark on the Victor's Tour, they begin to see that their very suvival has stirred the embers of revolution among the other districts. Soon Katniss and Peeta find themselves once again planning for how to survive the evil games that the Capitol plays.
Catching Fire is full of great action and plot twists. Suzanne Collins finds a way to keep the reader engaged from the very first page and unsure about what is really going on until the very last. Her characters and settings are wonderfully developed and her writing is a perfect blend of plot and characterization. I don't know how I will be able to wait until #3 comes out!!! Highly recommended for teens and adults alike.
