After reading several stinkers, this autobiography was a gem. It shows what hard work can do. Amazing to hear the tale of how Julia Child found her calling and went on to write the masterpiece she did. Fascinating.

Wow! I don't know when a book has grabbed me like this one., You won't love Olive or maybe even like her, but you won't forget her. I like the way these stories are drawn together by their common thread in Olive. The writing is beautiful and there are glimpses of such humanity here. I highly recommend this book which I read in two days, because I couldn't stop.
