This is my second reading of this book and it remains one of the most physically painful books to read. It is excellent and a quick read. It is deep and powerful on the subjects of love and ultimately redemption. It never leaves you!!!

Loved this book. A couple in their late 70's (she is dying of cancer and he has Alzheimer's) take off on old route '66 to go to Disneyland and follow the same path they took on a vacation with their children yrs ago. the ending is most powerful!!
