These words by Wendell Berry are actually in another book by him, but are very reflective of Hannah Coulter, a woman now in her 70's, looking back on her life; two dearly loved husbands, the first lost in WWII; the raising of children, and then grandchildren; the ties to family, community, and to the land that sustained them. Berry is a Kentucky tobacco farmer, a writer of poetry, novels,and essays, a professor, a conservationist and naturalist; this wonderful book encompasses all of that and more. ]]>
