It was compelling enought that I read through all of the books in short order. I've read better Post Apocalyptic Dystopian Sci Fi. In this one the Post Apocalyptic Dystopia was just a setting, rather than trying to tell us something about ourselves. ...more

It was good, I enjoyed the read, but I have read more compelling Sci Fi. It moved at a breakneck pace—while at the same time it felt like it was dragging in places—though I can't quite place my finger on why it seemed that way.

I finished this one a while ago.

I liked it, but not as much as the previous books in the Barsoom series. I think that can be attributed to the fact that this one is told third person rather than first person, and the story didn't feel as strong.
