This was sweet. The story line was very interesting and kept me reeled in.
As for characters:
I really liked Patch. I had a hard time putting this book down until I figured out Patch's secrets. Nora - a little crazily insane obessed with Patch. It was annoying in the beginning but eventually it let up. Vee - blabber mouth. I'm sure she was supposed to be funny when she ran her mouth, but I just found her annoying.
I knocked off some stars for originality because it had a sense of Twilight. It followed the Twilight outline to close for me to call this story orginal. But, I did love the angel aspect.

Twilight and Hush,Hush
-Nora special, Nephilium. Bella special, mind blocking.
-Patch intend to kill Nora at first. Edward wants to suck her blood at first.
-Both Patch and Edward are dark and mysterious.
-Both Patch and Edward have stalker elements.
-Both boys are immortal and fall in love with humans.
-Patch and Nora are Biology partners. (That one is way to similar!)
-There is a bad guy that wants the woman because of the boys' affections towards her. Jules wants to kill Nora. James wants to kill Bella.
Would I recommend? Yes. When there's a mystery that you can't put the book down until figure it out, then I call that a good read. I really liked Twilight so how could I not like this book.

This is the second Highlander book I've read. I did not like it as much as the first one I read, Kiss of the Highlander. If you outlined both books, they would be the same. Just different characters and a different set of problems. Because of this I probably won't continue with the series. To much repetition bores me and I can't get into the story line and characters.

This had a slow start. About half way it finally took off and I couldn't put it down. Because it took so long for me to really get into the story I gave it lower marks. I like a little action in my stories. This didn't have enough for me in the beginning. It was just them walking and talking, boring. If action isn't your thing and you're in it for just the romance, you'll love this and have no problem with the story.
The one problem I had with Moning's writing is her ability to run off in tangents. I found many paragraphs that bore me and could have definitely been left out. They had very little, if anything, to do with the story line. I had this problem with the Fever series too.

Dead Man Stalking by Rachel Caine - 4 stars. This story is about Shane (MV) with a little Michael.
Blue Moon by Richelle Mead - 4 stars. Lucy, a vamp, is on the run and finds help from a human that she has a surprising connection with.
Binge by Rachel Vincent - 4 stars. Two best friends. One is a siren and the other is a leanan sidhe (kind of a soul sucking muse).
Haunted Love by Cynthia Leitich Smith - 3 stars. A new vampire restores an old movie theater in a small town. Interesting story, but scene transitions were a little choppy, they didn't flow smoothly.
