This book is a great read! He intertwined each characters life in a way that keeps you guessing what will happen next, and a huge surprise comes at the end- after you have been speculating what is going to happen (because you see SOMETHING coming). I enjoy books that have different "voices" and this one did not disappoint!

At the beginning of this book I thought she was a bit of a downer, but as it takes you through her thought and emotional process to rid herself of all her past grief and guilt, it really turns out to be a great read. It is, of course, something ALL of us have gone through, yet with a different spiritual twist and the obvious ability to travel for a year.

I loved this book! I found it so amazing that the author could coherently keep track of the when and where and around and around trekking of the main character, Henry, and also keep it easy for the reader to follow. In this story Henry time travels randomly in and out of Clare's life from the time she is 6 years old. As the story unfolds you learn a lot about each of the characters and how their lives are affected by his disappearing and reappearing at random intervals. It was a page turner!

My advice to anyone that starts reading this book: Keep Reading! There were a few times there in the beginning when it was going in circles that I almost put it down. But I am so glad that I kept reading. This twisted story about The Lacuna Cabal Montreal Young Women's Book Club is not what you expect it to be. The group has been through a lot of trauma over the last 6 months which has changed the way that they conduct their meetings, eventually sending them on a journey they never expected to take- and they didn't even know where they were going! Without spoiling it, I can't really explain the ins and outs of the story- I can only assure you that it was a great read!

As far as teen romance novels go- I would really give this one a thumbs up. I was skeptical at first, thinking I knew what the mystery behind Dante was- but I was pleasantly surprised. There were, of course, parts that are written for teenage girls to swoon over- but I believe that was the target audience anyhow. Overall, I think it was a wonderful book and I am actually disappointed that I have to wait an entire year to read the sequel to find out what comes next...
