This is such a FUNNY book!!! I mean its literally laugh out loud funny! If you haven't read the series, I highly recommend you check it out, even if you are a 'grown up'. I am a greg heffley fan, even if he is the biggest a-hole on the planet...but its so fun to read his thought process! You gotta pick up this book or any of the other volumes- its a quick read and it should be classified as HUMOR not just as a 'children's book'. ]]>

cute collection of sookie short stories compiled by charlaine harris! it was so convenient to be able to read them all together in one book rather than have to buy all the anthologies separately. It was a nice treat to have a bit of a sookie fix before her next book comes out :-) ]]>

What a let down! Waited 5 years for this?! I'm sorry, but I usually zip through things when I love them, but I felt rather apathetic about this one. I am trying to figure out if perhaps my tastes have changed (I was sucked into angels and demons and da vinci code when they first came out) or if this next volume is just mediocre. i am happy that i bought it when i did, because with my barnes & noble membership i was able to save 46% of the list price on the day it was released and ended up paying $16. However, i wish i would have waited for the mass market version. We had 1504 copies delivered to the store for the release date, and we've already sold 600 copies, but all i can say is there are 600 people out there who are going to feel disappointed. its just boring. and its not that interesting. i've always been a dan brown fan, and i love his other books, not just the robert langdon ones. maybe he should write about another character, deception point was pretty good if i remember correctly. however, i did enjoy his tidbits about noetics, so i'm sure i'll be reading about that in the future. by the way, i do live in d.c. and i have no desire to go on a "lost symbol tour" here either. save your money and if you must read, keep the book in good condition and return it within 2 weeks with your receipt to get your money back.
