This book is inspiring, no nonsense, and paves a path for YOU to become involved in our nation's democratic processess.
If you don't participate, you can't complain about the current state of the US. This book is not for arm-chair activitists. Imagine your community, your state, your country's potential progress if YOU (yes, YOU), got up and participated. Just imagine that--- over the last 8 years, we've allowed the Constitution and Bill of Rights to be sidelined in the name of national security while our civil liberties have been restricted, and for some, removed. While Obama's impending presidency is a bright spot, your participation in the democratic process should not END with his election. There is much work to be done.
For organizers and activists, much of this book ---laid out like a true handbook--- may seem obvious. For this faction, it serves as a good resource and for those who often sit on the sidelines--- this book pulls you up and hopefully will propel you back into your community as an active member.
