I've been a fan ever since I saw him in Magnolia. I said to my husband a few years ago, around the time that Capote and Empire Falls came out, "You know, I'm really glad to see that he's getting lead roles now that really showcase his talent." I think that he's one of those few actors who can really carry a movie - but he never really has to. He must be really selective when choosing his projects.
