This is definitely NOT a &quot;feel good&quot; book. This book captures a timeless depiction of the dregs of humanity, post WWII, in the course of several storylines. The author's use of colloquialism and sparse punctuation made this a challenging read. I heard that this is Lou Reed's favorite book, which becomes clear with all of references to drag queens and drugs.

The Stephanie Plum series is always good for a laugh! I enjoyed Lula's attempts at barbeque. I didn't feel that this book had enough Joe Morelli though.

Continuing book in the Fate of the Jedi series highlighting 3 storylines...the Skywalkers meet the Mind Walkers, more Jedi Knights succumbing to mental illness, and the emerging Sith Tribe. There's more information about the Force to be learned here. Plus lots of action and even some humor thrown in.

Another story from the Star Wars Universe. An isolated Sith Tribe that has been developing over the past 5000 years is introduced. Meanwhile, Luke and Ben Skywalker spend time with the Aing-Tii - tracing Jacen Solo's past journey. While the rest of the Jedi Order continue to struggle on Coruscant with the Galactic Alliance politics and a type of Jedi madness. Lots of action makes this a quick read.

Similar to many of the Oprah Winfrey books in that this book dealt with a very dysfunctional family. The story is set in present day Ohio and shows how the main character, Cat (&quot;Alexis - Alley Cat&quot;) is an alcoholic coming to terms with her abusive family and past events folowing the death of her mother. Easy read if you can handle the topic.

I bought this book during my recent trip to San Antonio, TX. It could also be described as a tour book for select sights. Each entry contained a black and white photo, a brief history, and how the place qualified as haunted. Entertaining read!

A good time for a ghost story! I didn't find this book as good as &quot; The Time Traveler's Wife&quot;, but it was still an enjoyable read. I liked the England references and learned about Highgate Cemetery. Still I practically guessed the twist in the plot.

This is a Goodreads &quot;First Readers winner&quot; book!
<br/>This novel was set in the post Civil War era of New Orleans, LA. The story is told from the perspective of 3 narrators, which confused the time line and muddled the plot. I ended up not caring about each character, although I think the message was to show how a war hardened general is also a human.

Like wine, this book took a while to develop. It passed the time, but I really did not like the characters and found the plot a bit plodding. I did learn some more facts about wine and even wine making in Virginia.
