So far you have inspired me to at least include this on my Goodreads "to read" list. I am fascinated with the 1930s...an ugly time and a beautiful time. Being a light-weight I gravitate toward the popular culture aspects of that era (some of the most amazing music, cinema and design ever created, in my very humble opinion). However it was also a terrifying blueprint for modern history. This is a 'should read' and I will have to wait for a moment when I am ready to tackle it. ]]>

I did read it in high school...and enjoyed it. But, you are right. I need to make time to re-read several things as an adult to get another take on them. Sadly there are so many things I have never read before that I almost never get to the re-reads. ]]>
