"If you never read a John Irving book other than this, you will be a happy camper. Destined to become his best movie yet (if it ever gets to the screen) , SOAS has mystery, comedy, murder, midgets and love with irving´s famous wit and wisdom.

Dear Ryan, those John Irving books you read long ago. You must update your reading...and remember I had to beg you to read Irving and finally you did. Now read Water for Elephants for some American History and a sweet story and someone who doesn't shoot old people rather than put them into nursing homes. And then read The Desert Queen to learn a little about Middle Eastern History and the error of our ways in this Iraqi War... Guess who?
Hi Ryan-
Thanks for adding me, I am enjoying the reviews. Just got back from France, so I am thinking I should check out A Year in the Merde. This is a fun site.
