Kovacs is one of the greatest new characters to arrive in my SciFi universe. Morgan is a poetic/cinematic writer who can weave a mean sentence and meaner violence. The world of needling your soul across space into clone bodies is a nice vision of hyper-light space travel. I am sorry Morgan says he's done with Kovacs. Asimov set the stage for the robots to come. From Bladerunner to Terminator, even Logan's Run. Asimov was a visionary from the 1930's when he wrote his first "robot" story at 19. This book is of one of the cornerstones of SciFi. A must read for simplicity of language and elegant collision of plot, politics, and religion.

In a stunning short story entitled "Little Robot Lost" Asimov pretty much sets up the Terminator series and skynet. Of course Asimov was writing in the 1940's when he came up with the 3 laws of Robotics. He actually coined the word "robotics" in the 40's. He is the Hemmingway of SciFi and this book shows off his prowess in the short form. I've got to read the Foundation Trilogy again. Wow!
