I read this for an English Literature class and to be honest the play was hard to get through the first time like most Russian Literature; however, the second and third times through I was really impressed with all the subtle political underplay and the way it spoke for "the people" of the time. This play is excellent and as lots of feeling if read with an open mind. I loved the satire within it almost as much as I love the satire in George Orwell's "1984". I really liked the way the characters of Gone with the Wind are brought in with more detail. I think Rhett's character could have been detailed a bit more, but the way it was written goes well and backs up things that are in Gone with the Wind. Overall, I was impressed with this book. ]]>
