This book was okay. You can kind of tell it is one of the first. I did like it and it did make me want to read/listen to more of Stephanie Plum. I liked how Janet Evanovich set up the characters to make you wonder where the relationships are going with Stephanie's family, potential love interests, her cousin and the others that she works with.

I saw the movie first and I'm glad I did. I thought the book was so much better. I think the only thing in the movie that was better was the baseball sequence. I loved how Edward was such a gentleman to Bella. I could not only sense his love for her but I could also feel his addiction. It was kind of weird how this was written out so well in the book.
My only negative is that this book was supposedly written for young adults but I felt a lot of the words in this book were too "big" for children to read. It needed to be more on a Young Adult/Child level.
Otherwise, I very much enjoyed reading this book and could barely put it down.

I do own the book but I actually listened to this on CD first. The author has a very soothing voice so sometimes I felt like I was going to go to sleep and I would have to back track and listen to portions of the CD over again. Overall all the information in the book was excellent. It really makes you think and try to live a better life.
