For some reason, I kept hearing KD Lang singing "Constant Craving" every time Rossignol's singing was described. There was a very strong visual element to this book. I see them all like movies in my mind, but for some reason, this one was particularly vivid. Oh, hey, have you commented on other stuff I posted? I'm rather remiss on checking my Goodreads alerts. I feel silly now.

The main reason the first book didn't get four-stars-or-over from me was that Simon Green got to be a little repetitive and over-descriptive about characters, in situations where I was thinking "If John really took this long to describe that character in that situation, he should have been slaughtered in mid-sentence."
