The Culchie's Guide to Dublin by Jim Connolly
You Are Here by Thich Nhat Hanh
Shed light on ways of thinking that I'm still trying to incorporate into my daily life. I know that if I can, I'll be a better person and I'll treat those around me with more compassion.
Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
Strong, powerful book that will have an impact on my daily life. So many stories rang true and her advice really hit home - several times over.
A Trip to the Stars by Nicholas Christopher
A Trip to the Stars
by Nicholas Christopher
read in April, 2013
I'm a big fan of Christopher and "Trip to the Stars" was a lovely reminder why. Part love story and part human condition with a bit of the magical thrown in the story revolves around a family and how they relate to each other the world around them.
Energy and the Wealth of Nations by Charles A.S. Hall
Fascinating look at how energy, specifically cheap energy, may have been one of the main drivers of our economic progress over the past 150ish years. The authors then go on to point out that we are in peak oil and our economic toolbox will need to ch...more

Decent story with semi interesting characters. This isn't typical Pratchett though he still is holding up a fun house mirror to society. Sadly, the lack of satire does tend to let one focus on the characters in the book and they aren't very well fles...more
Financial Intelligence by Karen Berman
A fairly simple and straight forward overview of basic financial terms, how to calculate them and what they mean. While a little basic, this was exactly what I was looking for as Mr Case took the time to also go over how financials can be shifted bas...more
Out of Time's Abyss by Edgar Rice Burroughs
This was more of the same from Mr Burroughs. I read it so that I could finish the trilogy but you have almost the exact same characters and story as the first two books (as well as the Mars books). After awhile it gets boring
