I have to admit, I didn't care for this book at the start and the narrative voice wasn't my cup of tea. I might have even set it aside if I didn't have to read it for work. But the last forty pages had me and it's taken a bit of my breath away.

It will take me a few days to mull over what I just read, but I know it took me in and I had to get to the end.

Virginia Woolf
“Yet there are moments when the walls of the mind grow thin; when nothing is unabsorbed, and I could fancy that we might blow so vast a bubble that the sun might set and rise in it and we might take the blue of midday and the black of midnight and be cast off and escape from here and now.”
Virginia Woolf, The Waves
