I really liked this book. I thought it was clever and fun. I loved the characters, and how they each involved themselves in the book. I can see why it is so popular, and would recommend it to anyone who likes a good adventure story.

This is a bit of a spoiler, but I find the ending to be too neat. They are all orphans and by the end they all have families again. I'm not one to need my characters completely contented at the end, but if you are one of those people, you will be very happy.
