Having started with the 2nd book in the series, I did find myself lost character wise and I never really warmed to any of them. The plot was okay, but not great; and I found myself skim reading. Since the series has now been turned over (after book 3?) to another author, I doubt I'll spend the money to buy the other 2 books in the series.
