I really enjoyed this story - (although it was a COMPLETELY FRUSTRATING read)!!! The story is about Abby - finding herself at a perfect point in her life - She's in love with a man, Jake - who has a small child (Emma). Abby quickly fell in love with Emma after meeting her and the three of them are as happy as can be. Abby and Jake are planning on getting married and living in marital bliss forever more! And then, (dun - du - DUM) - Emma disappears while she's on a walk with Abby. This is a truly IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION to digest!!! While reading this book - I kept hoping that Emma would be found - However, in my heart - I kept assuming that finding her would be totally unbelievable!!! The story was a true rollercoaster - And, I felt for ALL of the characters. How can the Jake EVER forgive Abby for losing his little girl - How can Abby ever accept what has happened - even if it wasn't her fault. although, the storyline really allowed for some deep thoughts and speculations - the book ended up being "TOO NEAT" on a very messy topic. I enjoyed the story - but wouldn't necessarily recommend it if it wasn't going to be part of a bookclub.
