I think I liked this book. I didn't necessarily agree with actions of any of the characters in this book but I loved the info about the ingredients in baking that was before each chapter and there was a definite feel of community in the book that was charming.

Also this year, I discovered two books by Donna VanLiere that are both good--A Christmas Promise and one other. Several years ago, I read one called, "Christmas in Plains" by Jimmy Carter. As you know, I am super conservative and didn't like him as a president but this book is a sweet book about his memories growing up in a small town in Georgia.
