Hello Rebecca, this is your 20 year old sister speaking. I completely do NOT agree with your comments. Twilight rocks! LoL! And I can't pick a favorite between Harry Potter and Twilight either. I'm glad you semi-enjoyed it though! <3 :-)

This fairy tale twist is for today’s woman and should be shared with daughters and grand-daughters of all ages. If we want to raise strong, independent women, then we need to give them stories of strong, independent girls. This is not about feminism…it’s about being able to make good decisions on your own and not being dependent on someone else to define your life. “Happily ever after” is what you decide to do with your life and the possibilities are endless!!! This is simply a funny book with a great message. I love it!!!

Comfort Food is a story for anyone who dreaded turning the Big 5-0…for anyone who has conflict with their adult children…for anyone who wants to stay hidden in the house eating chocolate …for any mother who is willing to fight for their family, love and life. I’m not certain if this novel is classified as “Chick-Lit” or a “Beach Read”, but it was a fun, summer read full of energy, laughter and happy endings. If you love the Cooking Channel or you have gourmet cooks in your family, this book is just that more delectable.
Usually, I don’t seek out books of short stories, but this international bestseller caught my eye. Jhumpa Lahiri has a heart for stories focusing on Indian culture and values and how that translates into American life. The nine stories were enchanting. This lovely author has captured the experience of the Indian immigrant with deep love and sensitivity. My favorite story was “When Mr. Pirzade Came to Dine.”
