I think I'm partial to King's short stories. His writing is so dense that a short story keeps you hooked, while a 900 pg tome simply gets tedious. Allen Sosa lent the book to me; I'm unfamiliar with the author, although I'm sure I've heard NPR spots by him, I just never made the connection.

So far the book is average. I myself have made a plethora of mix tapes/CD's in my lifetime for different reasons (one is in my car as I write) and I appreciate his candor, although his reflections are kind of...well...uber-simplistic. Not that you'd expect grand epiphanies from high school hindsight, but I guess it's one of those, "Shit! I should have written this book!"
