I wish I knew the name for this genre of book. The author tells a series of stories and just as each story gets to the apex, she jumps past the situation on to the next without revealing what happened.

Listening to this one on CD. Really fascinating information about animals. Very entertaining with a dash of the ridiculous. The book has a couple of chapters where it gets bogged down discussing religion, which I would say has been the only slow part...more

Breezed through this book in a matter of days. Author does a great job of providing background and moving the plot forward. Learned a lot about America's and Japan's ugly WWII history.
