It turns out Moore is not only satiracal but prophetic.
A great read with lots of poignant black humour.

I finished this book in Tobago-the very heart of the slave trade. I enjoyed the book for it's historical significance but it is flawed at the end.

This is a book written by a prof at SFU. His parents were from Trinidad and lived in Ontario. I particlarly enjoyed reading this in Tobago. It provided a flavour and pespective I couldn't have had otherwise.

Thanks to Sandy and Erin for recommending this book. Joseph Boyden has such a clear,resonant voice I feel like I could sit on his porch and drink beer and rye whiskey and listen to his stories!
