I love Dark Desire & Dark Guardian but felt Dark Symphony let me down. And, I was all prepared to love it too.

I love them all too, but my fav, dark favorites are Dark Prince, Dark Fire & Dark Legend off the top of my head.

:-)

I just started this book and am THRILLED! It's been so long since I got excited about a book like I am about No Escape. I loved SB's No Control and I already love this one.

I love how the story gets close & intimate with Isabelle & Grant. For me too many authors add too much unnecessary, boring characters & details that the true emotional intimacy between H&H with each other as well as with the reader gets lost. Now that I think about it, this is just one of the many reasons why I LOVE Linda Howard's books.

I love how Grant has so much in common with the average guy in regards to his commitment phobia. That makes it very realistic. That he has a reason in his mind to be commitment phobic makes some readers happy, I know. But there are soo many guys out there who are commitment phobic just because they ARE guys. So the reason isn't important to me.

The only drawback is the detailed and often parts of the killing parts. It is very sad and upsetting and there are too often detailed.

I just realized I went out of order and need to read Caleb's story before No Escape. But that means me stopping No Escape and I don't know if I will do that. Since a review I read just now says David and Caleb are only mentioned in No Escape, I guess it isn't really a big deal that I continue out of order.

I find I am really loving Shannon Butcher's stories! And since there are so few auto buy authors on my list I am very happy to add SB!

Susan :-)

 Hi Kathryn,

Boy that is a very hard question. I would have to decide between Conspiracy Game, Deadly Game & Predatory Game.

I just LOVE the Norton TWins. But I love Jess Cahoun, too.

I think I gonna pick that order. #1,Jack Norton, #2 Ken Norton and only a smidge behind them is #3 Jess Calhoun,

Those are my favorites. :-)

The Ghostwalker series was slow for me in the first few books. But glad I stayed with it cause when the Norton twins appeared the series just exploded with heat and chemistry. Each book has been fantastic since they showed up. I am loving Murder Game and only halfway through it so far.

Whew! This was one smokin' hot book! The H/H in this book, Ian and Jane, set the sheets on fire! This was a fast paced, easy read, with a likeable couple who I was rooting for all the way. There were no big misunderstandings to overcome, either.

Book store owner Jane is just a little hesitant to trust herself emotionally in the relationship, afraid of falling in love and possibly getting her heart broken. So Ian has to work at getting past the protective wall around Jane's heart. And what a guy! Former military man and now security expert Ian is dominant sexually looking for a submissive partner, and Jane is a willing participant. She's been dating a string of duds so she decides to date the opposite of what she normally looks for in a man, and total-alpha-Ian fills the bill. She's initially looking for a no strings affair, but is caught off guard when she realizes she's falling in love for the first time. Will she take the risk and let herself fall head-over-heels for Ian, or will she retreat before she gets hurt?

I loved this book! Even though Ian was an alpha and a dominant in the bedroom, he always treated Jane with love and respect and was a real sweetheart. He reminded me of some of the heroes from Lisa Marie Rice's books. He took one look at Jane and knew he wanted her, and set out to woo her. And before she knew what hit her, Ian had wormed his way into Jane's heart. Besides all the hot bedroom action, there were some tender and funny moments between Jane and Ian too, and some funny girlfriend talk between Jane and her friend Lacey. Ian's good friend Devon was also introduced, and I'm hoping he's a character in a follow up book. I will definitely look for more books by this talented author!

A small warning: this book has some scenes of light bondage, and some explicit sexual language. So if that kind of thing bothers you, then this is not the book for you.(less)
