I found this book to be incredibly interesting. It gives you a glimpse of what it's like to be on the receiving end of Munchausen by Proxy. What I really found fascinating was what happened after the author got away from her mother. While the way she tries to tell the story is somewhat muddied and hard to understand, I feel that most books would just sort of gloss over the recovery aspect. You'd get all the details of the abuse and then a quick synopsis of the recovery like, "It took me 10 years and lots of therapy to finally get well, but now I will live happily ever after. The End." She explores her own faults and issues.

This book is more a memoir than it is a case study on Munchausen by Proxy, and it is a fascinating one at that. My only issue with the book is that it ends leaving me wanting more information with no way to find it. Did she prosecute her mother?
