"Not the best of the series, but I found it to be a nice end. It was too long in parts, like Leah's humanization (maybe that's not the right word) and the "battle." The battle was the epitome of anticlimactic.

I enjoyed Part 1 very much. I thought the wedding was beautiful and I'm glad Bella was finally able to embrace it. Though I wanted the "sex scenes" to be a bit detailed, I understand that you can only go so far in a youth book series, so I have higher hopes for the movie version of the book. I thought the conversation Bella and Edward have in bed after their first honeymoon night was soo typical Edward-style bashing himself for being a monster.. but I LOVED that.

The pregnancy was actually something I didn't expect. I knew when they told the story about Kate and Irina's family that something from that would come into play but I thought that their "creator" (Carlisle) would die like their mother, not that Bella would have a baby!

Part 2 was unexpected. Jake's perspective? Meh. But I guess I can see why she did it. I thought a lot of this section was too long and dry. Also, the end, when Bella is giving birth/dying I felt like it could have been written so much better. A lot of it was kind of a blur for me, it seemed cloudy.

I liked when Part 3 opened with Bella's thoughts throughout the whole thing because it provided some clarity, and I loved what she was thinking. It reminded me of the movie Awake. This I'm hoping is one of the scenes they can work on and perfect for the movie.

In Part 3 both Bella and Edward seem different. I guess because there were so many characters around all the time and so much happening it was just very very very different from all the previous books. I think Meyer made too much happen in so little time with so many characters. Parts 1 and 2 could have been its own book! There was too much hype leading up to the battle and I was so terribly disappointed when nothing came of it.

Overall I do think that each character's story ended well. But, I think that this book will be much better as a movie. I hope that Stephenie and whoever the director is at the time really re-think some of these scenes and rework it a bit....less "
