Loved, loved, loved this little coming of age story.

I downloaded the audiobook and listened to it. Some books are OK to just listen to, I think, and others have to be read. I wonder if I would have enjoyed this book so much if I would have read it. I think the narrator made the book so much more enjoyable for me.

I was a little taken aback when I found out this was a book for adolescents! I don't know if I would feel comfortable suggesting this book to teenagers because of the drugs and sex mentioned in the book. Plus, I wonder if teenagers can have the level of understanding of what the main character is experiencing. I continue to read/listen to the Evanovich books probably only because I feel like I've invested in the series over the years. The four or five have have been light-hearted but not close to as funny and entertaining as the first books in the series. It's getting to the point that it seems she has a master copy of the previous book and she just changes the names of a few characters and retells the same story.
