I've actually learned about Climate Change and the problems that face us today, at school too. In Geography actually. Of couse we didn't go into as much detail on Climate Change as you Kaitie. But we did learn a few things.....
It's amazing how many problems the human race has ahead of them. Over population, migration, climate change, just to name a few. What's werid is how everything is connected. And I mean EVERYTHING! What we do everyday effects the whole planet. To the green house gases emitted, the economic and polical systems to make our life happen, the land that made is possible for all that to happen, and more.
It's also amazing how much the land and it's resources effected almost everything in human history. To why the Myans were to addvanced to why Hilter couldn't take Russia. It's just plain amazing....And another reason why hurting the planet that made things the way they were for us, the delevopled nations, a bad idea.

Well it not only has been the weekend but three days more. I haven't picked it up since I wrote that progress. It's safe to say that I'm dropping this book. Sorry Scott Westerfeld...
It's not the concept (GREAT concept) but I think instead the way he describes the monsters. I just can't seem to picture it and I don't know...the way he does it kind of puts me off. That kind of happened in Peeps aswell. It was during the part where he described the worm things......And if it wasn't for those AMAZING drawings in the Leviathan, I don't think I would've liked the book so much, because most likely the describing would've put me off. ANYWAY....so I'm dropping the this book. Again, great concept, not so great describing. I might go back to it, I might not. Who knows? ]]>
