Hmmmm....I have trouble taking a review seriously when you admit to skipping pages and not reading the entire book. There is a twist right near the end that makes the travelling all come together. When I have a strong dislike for any character I take it as a sign of good writing...like good acting. They've convinced you of their desired character. I'm interested to see how the granddaughter is woven into the next story. I would love Laurie King to write books a bit closer together...so that the series didn't slow down in my mind. Sorry but I totally disagree with you and stand by my review.
