Oh, Brianna! So sorry to be responding so late. I've had a very busy last couple of weeks. I'm in college and working as well. It's sad, but I don't get that much time to read anymore--except textbooks for school, of course!

No, unfortunately, that little kitten is not mine. I met her at an animal shelter and wanted to take her home, but couldn't. :( I do, however, have my own cat who lives with me, named Sophie, who is older and much bigger.

Keep reading! I like to see updates on the little "tv's in your head." :)

Ms. Emily

i saw the movie before i read the book, and was cursed with the typical "movie-before-book" syndrome: i could only imagine the main characters as anne hathaway and meryl streep. i also have to say that the book itself was generally enjoyable, but the movie was far better. and that's not typically the case with books-turned-movies. the story in the book was a little convoluted, without much redemption or resolution in the end. the end of a three-year relationship barely seems to bring andrea down at all, which seemed unrealistic. in the movie, the andrea's newly-found, hard-earned self-awareness at the end was much more fully realized. but it was fun to read, about as close to trashy-contemporary-novel as i hope i will ever get.

this is one of the most exquisitely written books i've ever read. a postmodern twist makes it a bit of a "concept" novel, which may irk some readers, but i found it fascinating. great literature.
