From Publishers Weekly
Strieber's epic sequel to 2006's The Grays blends equal parts science fiction thriller, supernatural horror and provocative spiritual speculation. As struggling author Wylie Dale works on his latest novel, which revolves around an upcoming date when the earth crosses both the galactic equator and the solar ecliptic—a time that the Maya predicted would mark the cataclysmic end of this age—he begins to uncover evidence that what he's writing about is actually happening on a parallel earth. If nothing is done, on December 21, 2012, gateways will open into this world and reptilian invaders will not only enslave humanity but feast on their succulent souls as well. While Strieber's exploration into the existence and import of the soul isn't exactly profound, it is wildly entertaining. Fans of apocalyptic page-turners like King's The Stand and Niven and Pournelle's Lucifer's Hammer will enjoy this ambitious—and audacious—tale as it invokes everything from rectal probes and Ann Coulter to the destruction of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Very interesting read, led me to read more about 12/21/2012. Check it out. ...less

This book was very interesting because it makes you wonder about what going to happen in the future. Some parts in this book were hard to understand, but once I got to the end I did understand better what happened in the book. I do recommend this book who is interested in science fiction.
The main reason I read this book was because when I saw the cover and it was really cool, so I decided to read it because of that. Reading the first chapter I didn’t really understand what was going on, but I kept on reading and each chapter is a certain date before December 21, 2012 which was the date the world is going to end at 11:11 p.m. One part of the book I thought was interesting was that it said the ancient Mayans recorded this kind of stuff. for example, it said in the book it said according to the Mayans they said every twenty six thousand years the Earth lines up in the middle of the galaxy and that according to them it is the end.
I don’t know what is going to happen in the future, but this book made really wonder what some people think is going to happen. A lot of people do believe in many different things....less

This one of the recent books I have read that I liked, because of its strange things that happen about war, aliens, and science fiction. I didn’t know what to expect when I first started read this book because it looked like something I wouldn’t read, but I was wrong; I did like it a lot.
Billy Pilgrim was a POW in World War II and in the book it talks about him going insane and getting flashbacks going back and forth in his life time. Some parts are very weird like when he meets the aliens and how he talks to them in his flashback. I like the fact the author of this book was really a POW in WWII and how he wrote about his experiences. I never did know what to expect when I kept on reading and after I finished this book I realized how good it was and it was different than any other book I read.
I recommend this book because I think anyone who likes science fiction should read this book because it is defiantly entertaining to read in my own opinion. A lot of his other books that he wrote also has to do with these kinds of topics.

There is always something that freaks people out. It could be ghost or something haunted or even just a small animal. In this book, Haunted in wondering about some of these stories that chuck wrote about.
After I read the first chapter, I was a little freaked out just surprised me, like for example when this boy got his intestines suck out of him in the pool cleaner. After I finished this book, I told some people to read it and they couldn’t even finish reading the first chapter. But the book was good overall as I kept on reading it. I liked how it put a lot of different stories in the book, because I was looking forward to reading a different story each day so it kept me reading on. Some parts are very disturbing and really make you wonder, what goes through his mind when he writes some of the stuff he does.
I do recommend this book to anyone who like Chuck Palahniuk books and anyone who likes to read haunted books because you would get a good scare out of this book. I also do recommend other books by Chuck Palahniuk because a lot the books he wrote are also entertaining. He has won many awards for the books he has written.

Do you enjoy Eric Clapton’s music? If you do you will enjoy this autobiography of this famous composer and songwriter. From beginning to end is an amazing story told by Eric Clapton himself.
When I started reading this book it went right into Eric Clapton’s early childhood which was very interesting because I wouldn’t expect anything like it. As I kept reading I got more and more hooked because I was also wondering what was going to happen next. It really did inspire me because I do play guitar and after reading this book it made me think anything is possible if you put your mind to it. If you do listen to Eric Clapton and really listen to the music it really does speak to you like it does for me.
It’s hard to describe everything about Eric Clapton because there is such a great story. It hard to believe how he came from a poor family to one of the most famous composers and songwriter of all time. It is definitely a great well told story about himself I like the fact that it went into great detail about his own experiences and his life.
