Does she (or any slave) have the right to wreak vengeance on the whites who own, brutalize and dehumanize her and every slave on the plantation? The Night Women of the title comprise a group of Jack Wilkins' daughters who ponder these questions.

Written mostly in Pidgin and as explicit as the subject suggests, The Book of the Night Women is a brutal read. It might also be a necessary one. ]]>
