"The first of six volumes of classic "Popeye" comic strips by Segar. Can't wait for the later volumes as "Popeye" (or "Thimble Theatre" if you prefer) only got better during Segar's lifetime.

"I really like this book a lot. What keeps it from being five stars to me is how Jerry kind of glosses over certain parts of their career. Maybe it wasn't necessary to him, but I felt like I wanted more when I was done...

Mark Arnold
gave The Real Frank Zappa Book (Picador Books) by Frank Zappa |
my rating:
|
|
read in February, 2008
Mark said:
"This is THE BEST Frank Zappa book, mainly because Zappa wrote it himself. I actually read it at the time of release (1989), but it still holds up today as Zappa was such a visionary. I still miss him (he died in 1993).
