This is a wonderful collection of mostly introductions and forwards by Jung to various Eastern Texts from the Book of the Dead to the I Ching. It covers a wide range of "eastern" topics and styles, and gives Jung's unique approach to the texts. It is apperant by reading this how Jung's ideas on Eastern thought evolved through his career - starting with very sceptical optomism at the beginning, to an all out embracal of I Ching towards the end. It is refreshing and exciting material. Very good collection.

The Dalai Lama has given us a real gift with this book. His logic is irrevocable, which is the best part of this treaties. One cannot argue with his simple self-evident logic, and his logic is able to illuminate the deepest truth of human nature. Taken with "Bonds that Make us Free" this book can change your life if you let it.

Beautiful, powerful and highly archetypal. There is something to be said for a book that only takes 3 hours of leasurly reading to impart a potentially life altering message. A reccomended must-read for anyone.

This is a truly inspiring book. Of all the books I've read, this one does the best job logically and truthfully laying out the flaws in the human system. It shows us in an unarguable way where we falter as people, and how to fix the problems that lead to unhappiness and dissatisfaction in all aspects of life. The only gripe is that the change in "way of being" that the author calls for seems an impossible, if not insurmountalbe obstical. But one need not get down - small, constant changes will improve life for all who make the attempt. A beautiful, inspiring and useful tool for making the change that we all want but fall short of obtaining.
