In short, their operators are where "the rubber meets the road". Deniability is what they really offer to their clients.
In a nutshell, this story involves a contract between SSI and Israel to train Druze militia in Lebanon in an attempt to counter Hezbollah's attempts to expand their influence in this tortured part of the world. The wild card in the deck is that Iran is going to furnish a couple of "backpack nukes" to smuggle inside Israel.
This is well written and qualifies as a page turner!]]>
