There were parts that I liked: I thought it was an interesting portrait of how a violent crime effects a family and a community over time. But it got old. I got bored about 2/3 through and though I found it easy to read I wasn't getting anything new from it. Also, the whole girl looking down from heaven was a bit hokey. ]]>
