Being unfamiliar with Congo Square this was so enlightening. I love the illustrations and I love the text. It's nice to read something that makes me want to know more. Sure to show up in upcoming award lists.

Not a huge fan of the type-face used in this. I feel like for any child with a reading disability this would be a nightmare to trudge through. That being said I do enjoy the retelling.
